Restorations...(back to top)
While your rig is apart, seal the back sides of everything with Zero Rust. Use whatever paint system you want on the outside, but understand that there are two sides to every piece of sheet metal on the rig and that rust can bite you from the back side too. Get all the nooks and crannies, floor pans, fire walls, inside the doors and body panels, under the dashboard, on the window surrounds, etc. Even if the rig is to be undercoated, seal the steel first; that way if the undercoating cracks and lets go, the steel is not going to rust.

Once fully cured, which can take two weeks to a month, Zero Rust holds up well to all automotive fluids, including petroleum products (oils and greases). Zero Rust will even stand up to race fuels.

Body Shops....(back to top)
Zero Rust is used mostly in these areas: fresh welds; battery boxes (very effective); and spot repairs on rusty wheel wells, running boards, frames, trunks and floor pans.

Trucking & Heavy Equipment.. (back to top)
Zero Rust is used extensively because of its toughness and sealing properties. If you own a truck or a fleet of trucks and are having trouble keeping paint on your truck frames, you need to try Zero Rust.  You will find that you can save a lot in maintenance dollars.  Zero Rust is especially effective at protecting truck frames in areas of the country where salt is used on roads in the winter.

Another use is inside truck wheels.  Due to moisture inside the tire, rust can develop and destroy the wheel if this area is not treated.

Agriculture...(back to top)
Zero Rust has gained wide acceptance, particularly for maintenance painting on equipment used to apply highly corrosive ag chemicals.  Try painting your equipment with Zero Rust at the end of the season and you will minimize rusting during the off-season.

Zero Rust is also now being specified by manufacturers of farm equipment to help extend the life of this expensive machinery and thus protect the owner's investment.

As with truck wheels, Zero Rust is also very effective at controlling corrosion inside tractor wheels.

Tank Farms.... (back to top)
Zero Rust provides excellent protection for steel petroleum tanks that are cleaned with hand tools (i.e., wire brush, grinder, sander, needle gun). Because of Zero Rust's extremely high affinity for steel, it is particularly effective around valves where packings can leak. With most paints, you'll find that the petroleum will wick in behind and lift the paint from the steel. With Zero Rust, this doesn't happen.  The valves don't have to be repainted after a pressure wash cleanup because Zero Rust won't let go and come off.

Marine Trade & Port Facilities . (back to top)
The marine trade fights a continuing battle against rust. In most cases it has been forced to use two-part (catalyzed) epoxies, which are tough to touch up and require a white metal sandblast to repaint. Because of environmental considerations, there are now many restrictions on sandblasting. If you can only do marginal surface preparation, Zero Rust is the answer. As it is a surface-tolerant coating, it can be applied over tight rust and still do the job.  An evaluation of a three year-old Zero Rust paint job on an oceangoing generator set showed that it still looks almost as good as the day it went out.

Several barge lines across the U.S. are using Zero Rust on all their barge repaints. They can't sandblast while the barge is on the water; so they are doing a fairly aggressive pressure wash before applying Zero Rust at about 8 mils (wet) to cover the profile and then top coating.

A large port facility in the Pacific Northwest is converting much of its maintenance painting to Zero Rust, because Zero Rust  requires minimal surface preparation, is easy to repair (uncatalyzed), and still offers long-term protection.

Bridge Maintenance  (back to top)
Because of the ease of application and long-term protection on very marginally prepared surfaces, bridge maintenance crews are using Zero Rust to do spot painting repairs when the original paint job starts to degrade.

Utility Companies..... (back to top)
Zero Rust is being used as a primer under various topcoats on rebuilds of pole top transformers and on high voltage transformers.

Municipal Parks & Recreation Departments   (back to top)
Zero Rust is used for general maintenance of park facilities (swing sets, goal posts, gates and enclosures, picnic tables, etc.) as it offers excellent protection from the elements and easy surface preparation.

Electrical Rebuilders...(back to top)
Zero Rust is used in the rebuilding trade on units that will find their way into the agricultural, marine, and other markets. That way, when a starter, generator or alternator comes back in to be rebuilt again, the field cases aren't junk because of corrosion.

Battery Boxes.    .(back to top)
Acid fumes released from large quantities of batteries in an enclosure can be very corrosive to mild steel.  Zero Rust is solving this problem on all kinds of equipment from heavy scissors lifts to golf carts.

Horse Trailers..... (back to top)
Horse urine is very caustic and will tear up the paint and steel inside trailers.  Zero Rust is proving to be very effective in dealing with this problem. This is an example of a customer taking Zero Rust and applying it to his corrosion problem with excellent results.

Outdoor Advertising..... (back to top)
This has been a steady market for Zero Rust.  Manufacturers of light boxes are using Zero Rust to coat both the inside and outside. They are also using it on poles and bases.

Equipment Manufacturers(back to top)
Many companies and their customers are specifying Zero Rust in the manufacture of equipment, because they realize that it prolongs the life of the factory paint job and protects the investment made by the customer.

Some Mid-West manufacturers are using Zero Rust to repair road salt damaged equipment for their customers, because the original paint job has failed.  They are looking to extend the equipment's useful life and yet keep maintenance costs under control.

Hydraulic Systems....(back to top)
Zero Rust is very effective in this area.  The commercial fishing, forestry, agriculture, and heavy equipment industries are using Zero Rust around hydraulic motors, pumps, control valves, hydraulic cylinders, and storage reservoirs.

Steel Artwork   (back to top)
Artists who work with steel are finding that our Crystal Coat, which is a non-yellowing clear acrylic topcoat, is effective in protecting the clarity of heat-colored steel.

Other uses (back to top)
Zero Rust will help solve rust and corrosion control problems on any ferrous metal surface--residential, commercial, industrial, automotive, agricultural, or marine.
Until you try Zero Rust, you won't have any idea what an effective rust and corrosion problem solver it really is!
